Michael Esposito - The Woodmar Spookies [with Joe Brock & Aristotle Galanos]

from EVP. Sounds in the Distance by Antenna Non Grata

/

about

Field recordings from the Woodmar subdivision in Hammond, Indiana. Including but not limited to found piano, mechanics tools and EVP from Purdue University Calumet branch located in Woodmar (PAW112). Synthesizers and detuned base guitar recorded in Woodmar, Hammond, Indiana. When we were children, my cousins and my brother, sister and I would split up into two teams to see who could devise the most diabolical Spooky House in my grandmother's basement. Often the smokestack over the back patio fireplace would whine and moan in the wind. I would watch this performance on overcast blustery days for hours. I eventually nicknamed this smokestack ,,Ghost’’.
